Our 1st MILESTONE was the beginning of The Comedy Factory itself 26th August 2011 A time when no one had even thought that there was scope for a comedy scene in Gujarat Insert Dry State Joke we took the first step in bringing Standup Comedy to Gujarat There were questions popping in from all sides and it wasn t easy breaking people s perception about Gujarat not having a Stand Up audience Manan Desai being the daredevil he is got on stage for the first time as a comedian and performed for almost an hour to a jam packed room at The Offside Lounge in Baroda The show went fine as Manan had no experience of Standup Comedy but it was a great learning and Manan and Vidya started to build a team for The Comedy Factory from that moment onwards
